Job Description

Jensen Landscape Services is part of Monarch Landscape Companies, a well-established family of successful landscape brands operating across five states in the central and western United States. Monarch Landscape Companies is dedicated to being a values-driven, learning-centered organization that strives to be the best workplace for landscape professionals. Their core philosophy centers on rewarding achievements, recognizing individual abilities, and fostering professionalism that leads to autonomy and career growth. With a rich history of strong company culture and commitment to excellence, Monarch Landscape Companies continues to expand rapidly as one of the fastest growing outdoor maintenance companies in the country.

Jensen Landscape Services is currently seeking a Plant Healthcare Technician to join their dynamic and remarkable team. This role is designed for candidates passionate about plant healthcare, turf and plant spraying, and chemical application maintenance. The Plant Healthcare Technician will work closely with management to ensure proper procedures and protocols are followed on all chemical treatments and landscape care activities. This position offers an exciting opportunity to be part of a company that prioritizes continuous learning, safety, and operational excellence.

The role of Plant Healthcare Technician involves essential duties such as performing plant healthcare maintenance including turf and plant spraying, mixing and maintaining chemicals under managerial direction, and diligently maintaining accurate chemical use logs. The position requires maintaining company standards in all interactions with clients and coworkers, ensuring company vehicle and equipment are properly operated and maintained, and strictly adhering to all safety standards on job sites and company property.

A strong emphasis is placed on personal presentation, including maintaining uniform and personal protective equipment (PPE) guidelines, and timely attendance to meetings and assigned work items. While this role does not include supervisory responsibilities, it calls for a professional who can communicate effectively with supervisors and coworkers, and adapt priorities based on environmental conditions and operational demands.

Jensen Landscape Services values candidates who bring general knowledge of pesticide, herbicide, and fertilization techniques, including tank mixing quotients, as well as a fundamental understanding of chemical reactions and potentiates. Preferred applicants will hold a Certified Operator or Qualified Supervisor license, possess basic familiarity with hand and power equipment used in chemical applications, and have proficient technical skills including PDA and cell phone use. Strong conflict resolution skills and the ability to shift work priorities based on weather or chemical considerations are essential to success in this role.

The company offers a competitive pay range from $27.00 to $32.00 per hour based on experience, location, and qualifications. As an EEO and E-Verify participating employer, Jensen Landscape Services commits to inclusive hiring and diversity. Additionally, this employer offers On Demand Daily Pay in partnership with DailyPay, acknowledging the importance of timely compensation for its workforce.

Beyond salary, Monarch Landscape Companies delivers a comprehensive Total Rewards package designed to attract, engage, and retain top talent. Employees are eligible for a wide array of benefits including multiple healthcare options (medical, dental, and vision), flexible spending accounts, retirement savings plans, life and AD&D insurance, and supplemental insurance programs. Other perks include paid holidays, paid bereavement and jury duty leave, employee equity programs, paid time off starting at two weeks annually, sick pay according to local ordinances, referral bonuses, gym membership discounts, education assistance, and career advancement opportunities. The company also supports employee well-being with programs such as employee assistance, best-in-class learning management systems, and ongoing professional development.

Overall, this position represents an excellent career opportunity for motivated individuals seeking to grow within a reputable and rapidly expanding company in the outdoor maintenance and landscape services industry.
