Job Description

Stateside Live! is a vibrant hospitality and entertainment district located in the heart of the South Philadelphia Sports Complex. This one-of-a-kind venue brings together a unique cluster of multiple restaurants, bars, and entertainment options, including well-known establishments such as PBR Philly, Coors Banquet Bar, 1100 Social, Miller Time Beer Hall, and Live! Arena featuring notable names like Birra Peroni, Chickie’s and Pete’s, Geno’s Steaks, and Lorenzo and Sons Pizza. Stateside Live! is recognized as Philadelphia’s No. 1 Sports Bar by Philadelphia Magazine and represents a successful partnership between Philadelphia-based Comcast Spectacor and Baltimore-based The Cordish Companies.

As a bustling hospitality destination, Stateside Live! attracts a diverse clientele ranging from sports fans, locals, and tourists seeking an engaging social atmosphere with quality food and drinks. Its wide array of dining and entertainment venues makes it a popular spot for communal celebrations and sporting event watch parties. The enterprise prides itself on creating an energetic environment paired with top-notch food service and entertainment experiences.

The Cook position at Stateside Live! is vital for maintaining high-quality food standards and working efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment. The role involves preparing and cooking orders in a timely manner, controlling food usage to minimize waste, and adhering strictly to sanitation and cleanliness standards that comply with or exceed local and state health regulations. Beyond food preparation, the Cook assists supervisors by monitoring inventory, restocking supplies as needed, and reporting any unsafe kitchen conditions. This position requires multitasking capabilities and effective communication with other kitchen staff and dining area personnel to ensure smooth operations.

In addition to day-to-day cooking, Cooks may occasionally interact with guests, reinforcing the importance of excellent teamwork and customer service. The role demands physical stamina to perform kitchen duties such as standing for extended periods, lifting heavy items up to 75 pounds, and maneuvering safely around the kitchen workspace. Candidates with culinary training and certification, as well as relevant food safety permits, will find this role suits their skills well. Due to the nature of the establishment’s schedule, availability for nights, weekends, and holidays is essential.

Overall, working as a Cook at Stateside Live! offers an exciting opportunity to be part of a dynamic hospitality and entertainment hub renowned for its quality dining experiences and lively atmosphere. The position contributes directly to the venue’s reputation for outstanding food and service, offering both professional growth and the chance to work in a highly respected and well-established entertainment district.
