Joining Cerveau means becoming part of a dynamic kitchen where multitasking and communication skills are essential. The pizzaiolo is responsible for mastering all aspects of pizza-making, including prepping ingredients, making dough and sauce, rolling and stretching dough, topping pizzas, managing the oven, and accurately tracking and routing orders for dine-in and pickup or delivery. Maintaining cleanliness and organization of the workstation and storage areas in compliance with food safety standards is also a key responsibility. Pizzaiolos at Cerveau are trusted to uphold the highest quality and consistency across all food preparations and ensure the smooth operation of the pizza line throughout each shift.
The successful candidate will thrive in a fast-paced, guest-focused environment and may also bring familiarity with Mediterranean cuisine, wines, and cocktails to enhance the team’s culinary knowledge. Experience with Toast POS systems is a bonus, helping streamline order management and service efficiency. Job Requirements
- Min 2 years' previous pizza-making experience
- Experience working in a busy restaurant environment
- Ability to follow Chef’s recipes accurately
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced setting
- Knowledge of food safety standards
- Physical stamina for standing and working in kitchen environment
- Willingness to work flexible schedules
Job Qualifications
- Min 2 years' previous pizza-making experience in a busy restaurant environment
- Prior thin-crust pizza-making experience (preferred)
- Strong BOH skills, including prep and knife handling
- Strong communication and multitasking skills
- Familiarity with Mediterranean cuisine, wine, and cocktails is a plus
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, guest-focused environment
- Toast POS experience a bonus
Job Duties
- Learn all pie recipes and specials
- Make all pies to Chef’s recipe
- Daily set-up and maintain a clean and orderly station throughout service
- Ensure pizza line is freshly stocked
- Master all elements of pizza-making: prep, dough and sauce making, dough rolling and stretching, topping, dropping, and oven management
- Accurately track and route all dine-in and delivery/pickup pizza orders
- Date-label all prepped items and maintain food safety of all storage areas
- Maintain orderly storage areas to facilitate inventory counts
- Clean equipment and service items as required and/or requested by management
- Complete all daily checklists and accurately maintain all food logs
