The Pizza Cook role at California Pizza Kitchen is integral to maintaining the high standards for food quality and sanitation that guests expect. You will be responsible for operating the "Dough-Pro" machine, supporting daily line checks, and completing prep sheet tasks for your station. The role requires excellent attention to detail to maintain the proper temperature and sanitation of all kitchen equipment while following safe food handling practices rigorously. Whether prepping ingredients, managing opening and closing tasks, or assisting fellow team members, your contributions will directly influence the guests’ experiences and the restaurant’s quality standards. Job Requirements

  • three to six months related experience or training
  • ability to stand for extended periods
  • ability to work flexible shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays
  • willingness to follow all food safety and sanitation guidelines
  • ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • basic understanding of kitchen operations

Job Duties

  • assure timely preparation of all pizza station recipes
  • operate and master usage of the "Dough-Pro" machine
  • support line checks process and complete prep par sheets every shift
  • prepare all necessary items for the pizza station as needed
  • practice and teach safe and sanitary handling of cutting boards, counter tops, knives, and equipment
  • maintain proper temperature of equipment and perform station opening, closing, and side work duties each shift
