Job Description
PSA Airlines is a wholly owned subsidiary of American Airlines, recognized as one of the fastest-growing regional airlines in the United States. With a workforce exceeding 4,000 employees, PSA Airlines is committed to fostering a safe, respectful, and inclusive work environment grounded in a strong company culture known as The PSA Way. This culture promotes teamwork, diversity, continuous growth, accountability, and a relentless focus on safety and operational excellence. PSA Airlines not only values its employees but also offers comprehensive benefits designed to support their professional development and personal wellbeing. The airline's affiliation with American Airlines provides employees with unique advantages like travel privileges across American Airlines' extensive global network, enabling staff to explore new destinations and create memorable experiences with loved ones.
This opportunity specifically targets aspiring pilots who hold a Private Pilot Certificate and are looking to advance their careers through the PSA Cadet Program, an innovative pathway designed to smooth the transition from training to professional piloting. The Cadet Program supports candidates from the beginning stages of their flight training through to becoming an airline pilot, emphasizing mentorship, internships, and a structured career progression plan. It is especially well-suited for motivated individuals seeking a fast-track route to becoming a mainline pilot with American Airlines through PSA’s pilot-flow-through agreement.
Candidates admitted into the Cadet Program benefit from a comprehensive tuition reimbursement package totaling $15,000, distributed at pivotal points in their training such as after the Senior Cadet Interview and during the time-building phase nearing ATP minimum hour requirements. Additionally, PSA covers the ATP-CTP course fee, valued at $5,000, and provides accommodations and transportation during this crucial training phase. The program promises no additional interviews for placement into the next PSA pilot class once candidates meet established qualifications and requirements, underlining its commitment to streamlined career advancement.
PSA Airlines values driven, reliable, caring, and effective communicators who are decisive and results-oriented. The working environment is a climate-controlled office setting equipped with standard office technology essential for daily operational support. While primarily a sedentary role, employees must be able to meet specific physical demands like standing, walking, climbing stairs, and lifting up to 25 pounds. Security clearance through criminal history records checks is mandatory for all personnel. PSA Airlines is dedicated to equality and offers employment opportunities without discrimination based on various protected characteristics, reinforcing its commitment to an equitable workplace.
Overall, this position offers individuals with a private pilot certificate a golden opportunity to begin their aviation careers with a well-established regional airline that supports growth, provides extensive benefits, and offers a clear path to major airline pilot positions.
