The Physical Therapist role at GDIT is a critical position supporting customer activities primarily in healthcare services at locations like Tampa, Florida, and Eglin Air Force Base, Florida. This role is responsible for independently evaluating, treating, and rehabilitating neuromusculoskeletal conditions to maximize functional readiness and performance for personnel, including athletes from NCAA Division I teams, Olympic, professional sports teams, USAF Warrior programs, and Special Operations Forces operators. The Physical Therapist delivers direct access care without the need for referrals, using evidence-based interventions to optimize injury mitigation and rehabilitation strategies. This position contributes significantly to integrated Human Performance efforts, ensuring optimal musculoskeletal health and physical readiness across training, recovery, and return-to-duty pathways. Responsibilities include comprehensive patient care, proactive injury prevention programs, collaboration with medical and command leadership, clinical supervision of staff such as physical therapy technicians and assistants, and participation in quality management activities.
