The Phlebotomist Part-Time position at Labcorp is based at the facility located at 31571 Canyon Estates Drive, Suite 101, Lake Elsinore, CA 92532. This role is integral to Labcorp's Patient Service Centers or Client offices, where the primary responsibility is the collection of blood specimens through venipuncture and capillary techniques for patients of all age groups. The position requires the individual to perform various specimen collections including drug screens, paternity tests, and alcohol tests, ensuring accuracy and adherence to quality standards. Additionally, the Phlebotomist handles data entry for patient information, billing processes, and specimen preparation for testing and analysis.
Working hours for this part-time role are Monday through Friday from 7:20 am to 12:20 pm, with possible additional hours and rotating weekends as needed. The role emphasizes providing exceptional customer service by interacting professionally with patients and maintaining comprehensive patient and specimen logs. Administrative and clerical duties are also part of the job scope, along with occasional travel to other company sites when required.

Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED or equivalent
- Valid California State issued Phlebotomy License
- Able to pass a standardized color blindness test
- Strong communication skills both written and verbal
- Proven track record in providing exceptional customer service
- Ability to work independently or in a team environment
- Comfortable working under minimal supervision
- Flexibility to work overtime as needed
- Able to attend 2-week training in California
- In lieu of state license requirement, an application for a phlebotomy license filed with the CA Department of Health at time of hire may meet license requirement
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED or equivalent
- Valid California State issued Phlebotomy License
- 1 or more months of experience as a phlebotomist
- Current or prior experience with Labcorp
- Strong communication skills both written and verbal
- Proven track record in providing exceptional customer service
- Ability to work independently or in a team environment
- Comfortable working under minimal supervision
Job Duties
- Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups
- Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests etc.
- Perform data entry of patient information in an accurate and timely manner
- Process billing information and collect payments when required
- Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis
- Maintain patient and specimen information logs
- Provide superior customer service to all patients
- Perform administrative and clerical duties as necessary
- Travel to additional sites when needed
