Established for over fifteen years, One Medical blends seamless in-office care with 24/7 virtual health services, on-site labs, and comprehensive programs that cover preventive care, chronic disease management, common illnesses, and mental health support. This unique approach has positioned One Medical as a leading healthcare provider that prioritizes patient experience and holistic care management. In February 2023, One Medical became part of the Amazon family, broadening its reach and enhancing its ability to serve more consumers, employers, healthcare teams, and networks with cutting-edge resources and a shared commitment to better health outcomes.
The role of a Phlebotomist/Administrative Assistant, internally named Lab Services Specialist/Member Support Specialist, offers an exciting opportunity to contribute directly to patient care in a vibrant and collaborative environment. This full-time position, based at the FiDi Fulton Street office in New York, involves providing expert venipuncture services and clinical support throughout patients' visitations. The ideal candidate will be an empathetic, service-oriented professional who excels at building human connections and delivering exceptional patient experiences. Responsibilities include specimen collection across diverse populations from pediatric to geriatric patients, assistance with extended clinical duties such as EKGs/ECGs and vitals, and supporting front-of-house operations like check-in/out procedures, insurance verification, and administrative tasks.
Beyond clinical responsibilities, the role demands a proactive approach to team collaboration, technological adeptness, and adherence to high standards of specimen handling and office upkeep. The Phlebotomist/Administrative Assistant is a critical ambassador for the One Medical brand, ensuring the office environment promotes comfort and trust for every patient. The position requires strong communication skills, problem-solving abilities, and a commitment to ongoing professional development within a nurturing culture that values feedback and growth.
Compensation for this role ranges from $24 to $26 per hour, with the capacity to integrate benefits based on individual qualifications, experience, and location. One Medical offers a robust benefits package designed to support the health and wellness of its employees and their families, making this more than just a job—but a meaningful career path in a forward-thinking healthcare company.
