For the upcoming PGA Championships, Patina Restaurant Group is seeking dedicated and skilled Cooks to join their team. This seasonal position requires individuals who thrive in fast-paced kitchen environments and are passionate about food preparation and teamwork. The role involves working onsite at the marketplace during the prestigious PGA Championships, a major sporting event that attracts numerous guests and requires impeccable service and culinary expertise.
The Cook position is a full-time, temporary role during the event with carefully scheduled shifts designed to maintain smooth kitchen operations throughout the championship days. Employees will be working one of two detailed schedule options provided, covering multiple consecutive days with early start times to support the high volume of guests. A mandatory workday on Sunday, May 10th, is required to participate in the rest of the assignment, emphasizing the importance of team commitment from the outset. The Cook will be responsible for preparing food items to exact specifications, adhering to portion control and quality standards, and using various kitchen equipment efficiently and safely. Maintaining cleanliness, organization, and sanitation at the workstation will be critical to ensure compliance with health codes and provide a safe working environment. The position demands a blend of physical endurance and culinary skill, including manual dexterity for chopping and mixing, the ability to lift heavy items, and the stamina to stand and move throughout long shifts in a bustling, often hot kitchen environment.
