Job Description

Your Whole Meal is a nutrition-centered personal chef service based in Denver, Colorado, dedicated to transforming meal preparation into an experience of growth and joy for clients. As a locally-operated company, they specialize in in-home meal prep services conducted weekly or bi-weekly, prioritizing nutritious, customized meals tailored to meet the unique dietary needs of each client. By offering a personalized and flexible culinary experience, Your Whole Meal allows clients to reclaim time at the dinner table and focus on enjoying life rather than worrying about cooking. The company’s mission is to deliver high-quality, nutritious meals that not only satisfy hunger but also promote well-being and a positive lifestyle. Your Whole Meal serves a diverse clientele across the Denver Metro area, making meal prep a seamless and enjoyable experience for every household they enter.

The Personal Chef role at Your Whole Meal offers an exciting opportunity for motivated and dedicated culinary professionals who are passionate about creating delicious, allergy-conscious, and nutritionally-conscious meals. This role goes beyond merely preparing food — it is about delivering an exceptional client experience by designing personalized menus, conducting same-day grocery shopping, cooking directly in clients' homes, thorough cleanup, and efficiently stocking refrigerators with 5 to 6 fresh meals per cooking session. Strong time management skills and the ability to handle multiple dishes simultaneously are essential in this fast-paced and dynamic environment. Chefs at Your Whole Meal are expected to possess advanced culinary knowledge and versatility, demonstrating ease and creativity with a wide variety of cuisines and dietary restrictions such as gluten-free, dairy-free, or special diets. A spirit of adaptability is crucial, especially when substituting ingredients on the fly or tailoring dishes to unique client preferences.

This role requires a deeply personal commitment to quality and service excellence. The ideal candidate thrives working independently, values accountability, and demonstrates a business owner’s mindset—with earnings tied directly to the volume of clients served, including opportunities for referral bonuses. Computer literacy is necessary to expertly handle digital client communications, menu creation, and detailed reheating instructions through Microsoft Office applications. Candidates must be comfortable navigating local sanitation regulations, have a reliable vehicle for travel across the Denver Metro area, and exhibit personable, professional communication skills to build meaningful connections with clients during each cook.

The compensation structure includes a base pay of $120 per cook, with two cooks scheduled per day, totaling $240 daily plus an additional pantry reimbursement. Work hours typically run from 8-9 AM to 4-5 PM Monday through Wednesday, with additional optional days available. Each in-home cooking session includes approximately 30 minutes of grocery shopping, 30 minutes of driving, 2-4 hours of cooking and cleanup, and roughly 30 minutes dedicated to backend office work. This comprehensive role offers a competitive hourly rate ranging from $24 to $40 based on complexity and portions, plus optional direct tips from clients. Joining Your Whole Meal means entering a rigorous but supportive interview process to ensure a perfect mutual fit, encompassing phone screening, in-person interviews, and a paid shadow day with a seasoned chef. This position is best suited for passionate culinary professionals eager to make a positive impact in clients’ lives through nourishing and thoughtfully prepared meals.
