Job Requirements

  • Minimum three years of culinary management experience in athletic nutrition setting
  • Knowledge of nutrition needs for athletes
  • Ability to develop and implement menus focusing on nutrient-dense meals
  • Familiarity with food safety procedures including FIFO and HACCP
  • Experience working in a professional culinary environment
  • Ability to oversee and manage staff
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills

Job Qualifications

  • Minimum three years of culinary management experience in athletic nutrition setting such as professional sports team or collegiate athletic department
  • Bachelor’s degree in culinary arts, nutrition, food science or related field preferred
  • Strong knowledge of nutrition demands of athletes
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams
  • Comprehensive understanding of food safety standards including HACCP guidelines
  • Skilled in recipe development and menu planning for nutrient-dense foods

Job Duties

  • Develop recipes and implement menus focusing on nutrient-dense foods to optimize athlete health and performance
  • Implement food safety procedures including FIFO approach for food storage and rotation, labeling, and discarding unsuitable products
  • Oversee culinary performance staff to ensure high standards and effective kitchen operations
  • Collaborate with team dietitians to provide culinary expertise supporting athlete nutrition needs
  • Prepare and synchronize meals for business and administrative staff during off-season
  • Maintain knowledge of dietary restrictions, food allergies, preparation processes, and HACCP guidelines
  • Ensure compliance with organizational standards related to food safety and quality
