As a community-focused organization, CHS was created by the community for the community with the mission to provide a full spectrum of healthcare services under one roof. This holistic approach ensures that patients receive coordinated care from a team of dedicated professionals who treat each individual with dignity and respect. Community Health Services prides itself on creating medical homes for patients, where they feel valued and known personally by clinical staff. CHS strives to improve the overall health and well-being of its patients by providing accessible, quality care that responds to their diverse needs in a timely manner.
The Pediatrics & Adolescent Medicine Department within CHS is currently seeking an experienced Medical Receptionist to join its team on a full-time basis. This position reports to the Practice Manager, Carmen M. Lopez, and works closely with the Clinical Director, Dr. Zeev Harel, who is a distinguished former professor of Pediatrics at Brown University Medical School. The department has earned a reputation for high employee engagement and satisfaction, reflecting a positive and supportive workplace culture. The Medical Receptionist plays a pivotal role in creating a welcoming environment by efficiently managing patient intake and using excellent communication skills to connect with patients and their families. This role also requires proficiency with electronic medical records and practice management systems, as well as strong organizational capabilities to handle patient payments and confidential information securely.
The hourly compensation for this non-exempt role ranges from $18.25 to $22.81, reflecting the value CHS places on hiring qualified professionals who can contribute meaningfully to its mission. The successful candidate will demonstrate superior customer service, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with changing priorities. Experience working within a diverse patient population and bilingual abilities in Spanish and English are strongly preferred. Employees at CHS benefit from a robust package of benefits, including health, dental, and vision insurance, a 401(k) retirement plan with employer match, generous paid time off, and various leave programs that support work-life balance and personal needs.
