Rogers Group is currently seeking a dedicated Payroll Coordinator to join its corporate headquarters team in Nashville, Tennessee. This is a full-time, in-office position well-suited for candidates with hands-on payroll processing experience looking to contribute to a fast-paced and deadline-focused environment. Reporting directly to the Payroll Supervisor, the Payroll Coordinator will play a critical role in managing and processing payroll for over 3,000 multi-state employees each week. The role demands strong attention to detail, high confidentiality standards, and a proactive approach in adapting to new payroll systems, technologies, and processes.

The Payroll Coordinator will be responsible for handling a variety of payroll-related tasks including HRIS data entry for new hires, terminations, and rate changes, managing payroll withholdings and direct deposit details, and ensuring compliance with federal and state regulations. This position also involves managing involuntary deductions such as child support and garnishments, and completing documentation for employment verification and workers’ compensation wage requests. In addition to processing payroll, the Payroll Coordinator will provide backup support to team members during peak periods and take on additional responsibilities to support the payroll team’s success.

Job Requirements

Job Qualifications

Job Duties

  • Process weekly, in-house payroll for 3,000+ multi-state employees
  • Perform HRIS data entry including new hires, terminations, and rate changes
  • Enter payroll-related information such as federal and state withholding forms, and direct deposit details
  • Complete payroll compliance tasks including employment verification, child support enforcement, and workers' compensation wage requests
  • Enter and manage involuntary deductions
  • Adapt quickly to new payroll systems, processes, and technologies
  • Serve as backup support for team members during high volume periods or scheduled time off
  • Take on additional responsibilities as assigned
