Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- One year customer service experience preferably in healthcare or corporate concierge setting
- Excellent public relations skills
- Demonstrated excellent customer service behavior
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Fire life safety training (LA City) with card obtained within 30 days of hire if not already held
- Basic Life Support (BLS) healthcare provider certification from American Heart Association
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum one year in customer service preferably in healthcare or corporate concierge setting
- Excellent public relations skills
- Demonstrate excellent customer service behavior
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Bilingual in English/Spanish preferred
- Associate's degree in a related field preferred
Job Duties
- Greets colleagues, patients, families and visitors with a kind greeting following the KNOWN service standards
- Provides accurate directions and assistance to patients going to physician offices and Health Science Campus buildings
- Provides concierge services including driving directions, reservation assistance for lodging, transportation and restaurants, assistance with personal services such as entertainment and shopping, and business services such as faxing and copying
- Transports patient luggage and coordinates taxicab voucher requests according to hospital policy
- Participates in Welcome Rounds for new patients
- Provides accurate information regarding meeting rooms, parking, visiting regulations, cafeteria hours and hospital services
- Coordinates flow of surgical information between physicians, surgical staff and patient families, including pager distribution
- Completes hourly rounds of lobbies and patient family resource centers ensuring cleanliness and safety
- Alerts security of any problems and coordinates with environment of care services such as housekeeping and engineering to maintain safe public spaces
- Directs complaints or concerns to appropriate hospital personnel
- Alerts marketing of media presence and directs vendors according to hospital policy
- Provides wheelchairs as requested
- Delivers flowers, mail and packages accurately
- Distributes visitor passes and volunteer meal tickets as per hospital policy
- Maintains professionalism and confidentiality at all times
- Performs other duties as assigned
