The role requires a personable and proactive approach to support patients and their families by offering clear directions within the Health Science Campus, helping with transportation arrangements, facilitating concierge services such as lodging and reservations, and assisting with day-to-day needs including wheelchair escorts and luggage transport. The representative will maintain the cleanliness and orderliness of lobby and consultation areas, ensuring the hospital environment remains hospitable and welcoming. Beyond these tasks, the representative serves as an essential communication link by coordinating surgical information flow between medical staff and patient families, distributing necessary items like pagers and visitor passes, and addressing any immediate concerns efficiently.

Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum 1 year experience in customer service preferably healthcare or concierge
- Excellent public relations skills
- Demonstrate excellent customer service behavior
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Obtain Fire Life Safety Training (LA City) within 30 days of hire if applicable
- Maintain Basic Life Support (BLS) Healthcare Provider certification from American Heart Association
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- At least 1 year of customer service experience preferably in healthcare or corporate concierge setting
- Excellent public relations skills
- Demonstrated excellent customer service behavior
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Bilingual English/Spanish preferred
- Associate's degree in related field preferred
Job Duties
- Greet colleagues, patients, families and visitors with a kind greeting following the KNOWN Service Standards
- Provide accurate directions and assistance to patients going to physician offices and other Health Science Campus buildings
- Provide concierge services including driving directions, information regarding community resources, reservations for lodging, transportation and restaurants, assistance with personal services, and business services
- Participate in Welcome Rounds for new patients following patient experience protocols
- Provide accurate information regarding meeting room locations, hospital parking, visiting regulations, cafeteria hours and hospital services
- Coordinate surgical information flow between physicians, surgical staff and patient families, distribute pagers and record contact information
- Complete hourly rounds of lobby and patient resource centers ensuring cleanliness and orderliness
- Alert security of problems and provide necessary information
- Coordinate environment of care services with housekeeping and engineering staff
- Direct complaints or concerns to appropriate hospital personnel
- Alert marketing department of media presence and direct vendors to Materials Management
- Provide wheelchairs as requested
- Deliver flowers, mail and packages accurately
- Distribute visitor passes and volunteer meal tickets according to hospital policy
- Maintain professionalism and confidentiality at all times
- Perform other duties as assigned
