Job Description

Metz Culinary Management is a leading company in the food service industry, dedicated to delivering restaurant-inspired hospitality and exceptional onsite dining experiences. With a strong presence across various sectors, Metz Culinary Management stands out by fostering a company culture that emphasizes values, employee development, and a commitment to excellence. The company employs over 7,000 team members nationwide, working collectively to provide outstanding food service and support in healthcare, education, business, and other onsite dining operations. Known for its family-driven approach, Metz Culinary Management creates an atmosphere that promotes personal growth, career enrichment, and a pursuit of high-quality service. The company continually seeks talented and passionate individuals who are eager to contribute to its growth and uphold its dedication to customer satisfaction and employee well-being.

This opening is for a Food Service Supervisor position based at DeGraff Hospital in Buffalo, NY. The role operates on a part-time, permanent basis with a competitive wage of 22 dollars per hour. The Food Service Supervisor will be responsible for overseeing and coordinating daily operations within the hospital's dining environment. This includes supervisory duties in different areas such as the Café, Retail locations, and Patient Services. A key function is leadership over the Patient Services team, ensuring a positive and seamless dining experience tailored specifically to patients' needs.

The successful candidate will assist in managing staff, fostering a culture of excellent customer service, and maintaining high-quality food service standards that comply with healthcare regulations. Strong communication skills are vital, as is the ability to support patients in using the ordering system and making menu selections. Experience in food service within a healthcare setting is highly desirable, although strong food service management skills alone are also valued. The role demands a thorough understanding of customer relations, employee management, and operational oversight to enhance the patient and resident dining experience.

Moreover, the supervisor will play an essential role in supporting the team by creating effective communication materials such as summaries, reports, and letters to facilitate smooth operations and clear engagement with all stakeholders. Proficiency in Microsoft Office is a key requirement for this administrative aspect of the role.

Metz Culinary Management values its leadership qualities and strives to develop leaders who embody its core values and strategic focus. Supervisors are expected to inspire their teams, reinforce company culture, and contribute to a supportive work environment. This position offers an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic and fast-growing company that prioritizes quality, collaboration, and personal achievement in the culinary hospitality industry.
