The Patient Server position is critical within the care team, handling patient food service on assigned hospital units. Responsibilities include gathering patient meal selections, assembling food trays, delivering food to patients, and managing after-meal tray pick-up. The position requires adherence to dietary restrictions and thoughtful consideration of patient preferences, allergies, and cultural or religious requirements. Individuals in this role work closely with nursing staff and dietitians to ensure patients receive appropriate nutrition and assistance throughout their hospital stay. The position can be either full time or part time, offering schedules primarily during weekdays with some weekend shifts. Competitive hourly pay ranges between $17.00 and $18.00, reflecting the importance of the role within the hospital environment.

- Prior experience in tray line, food running, customer service, and food healthcare
- Ability to lift and/or move up to 100 pounds

Job Duties
- Exhibits a friendly, caring attitude to patients when taking menu selections, delivering trays, inquiring during catering rounds and retrieving trays
- Takes patients menu selections prior to each meal
- Complies with dietary restrictions on special, modified diets to ensure optimal food preferences are met within guidelines of diet order limitations
- Offers alternatives to menu as allowed on prescribed diet in accordance with food allergies and sensitivities, cultural, ethnic and religious preferences, when patient inquires or needs additional selections
- Assembles trays according to patients' menu selections on tray tickets in a timely and accurate manner
- Interacts with nursing staff to ensure patients' diet prescriptions are accurate and patients' food needs are met
- Retrieves trays from patients' rooms
