The Patient Food Server role at Parkridge East Hospital is integral to ensuring patient satisfaction and well-being through timely and accurate meal service tailored to specific dietary needs. This position requires dedicated, customer-focused individuals who excel in a fast-paced healthcare environment. Working 12-hour shifts three days per week, the Patient Food Server will interact closely with patients and medical staff to obtain menus in line with dietary restrictions and preferences, prepare and distribute meals efficiently, and maintain records using Computrition Hospitality Suite software.

As a front-line representative, the Patient Food Server demonstrates professionalism, attention to detail, and excellent communication skills. The role involves not only meal delivery but also the handling of nourishments and tube feedings according to health care guidelines. Flexibility to perform assigned duties beyond core responsibilities is expected.   • High school degree or equivalent preferred
  • food handlers or ServSafe certificate preferred
  • banquet/server experience preferred
  • one year of food service experience required
  • completion of application assessment required

Job Duties

  • Obtain patient menu preferences in accordance to dietary restrictions
  • prepare, deliver, and pick up patient meals in a timely manner
  • deliver, label, and track nourishments and/or tube feedings as needed
  • maintain and update patient information in Computrition Hospitality Suite
  • perform other duties as assigned
