Job Description

Jefferson Dental & Orthodontics is a well-established dental care provider with a rich history dating back to its founding in Texas in 1967. Over the decades, Jefferson Dental & Orthodontics has built a strong reputation as a trusted and compassionate dental service provider, committed to delivering personalized care with clinical excellence. Their approach goes beyond typical dental treatment, recognizing the importance of treating each patient as a unique individual and customizing care plans tailored specifically to their needs. This human-centric philosophy underscores their mission to positively impact patients' lives by improving their oral health and, ultimately, their confidence and smiles. The company values building lasting relationships with patients by ensuring a comforting and supportive experience during every visit.

The role of Front Desk, known at Jefferson Dental & Orthodontics as the Patient Concierge, is pivotal in creating positive patient experiences. This full-time position, offering an hourly pay range of $14.00 to $15.00, functions as the frontline representative of the practice, serving as the "first impression" when patients arrive and the "final memory" when they leave. Patient Concierges are responsible for ensuring that every patient feels valued and attended to, acting with empathy and professionalism in all interactions. Duties include greeting patients warmly, providing clear and educational communication about the visit, assisting with administrative tasks such as processing patient paperwork, verifying insurance eligibility, and efficiently scheduling appointments for new, recall, or emergency visits. The role requires a blend of customer service excellence, organizational skills, and a friendly demeanor.

Additionally, Patient Concierges receive cross-training on basic back-office functions to enhance their ability to support the overall patient experience comprehensively. This holistic training ensures they can flexibly assist where needed to maintain a smooth operational flow and uphold the high service standards synonymous with the Jefferson Dental brand. The role demands adaptability, as schedules include working five days a week with alternating Saturdays, two of which are mandatory each month.

Working at Jefferson Dental & Orthodontics means joining a team dedicated to collaborative culture, open communication, and continuous motivation to go above and beyond for patients. They seek individuals who are excellent communicators and relationship builders, capable of fostering trust within teams and with patients. The physical requirements of the job include frequent standing, walking, and the use of hands for fine tasks, with accommodations available to support individuals with disabilities. Occasional travel may be required to assist at different office locations or for training purposes.

Team members enjoy comprehensive benefits including 401(k), dental, vision, and health insurance, as well as paid time off. Overall, this position offers a rewarding opportunity to work in a dynamic dental healthcare environment that prioritizes patient-centered care and professional growth.
