The role of Patient Access Specialist (PAS) at UCHealth is a vital position within its ambulatory care settings, designed for individuals skilled in receptionist, registration, and clerical duties essential for seamless patient experience. These full-time onsite positions provide an opportunity to work in dynamic primary and specialty care clinics in the Ft. Collins area.   • Relevant experience in patient registration or related healthcare field preferred
  • Excellent communication skills

Job Qualifications

Job Duties

  • Meet with patients and/or their caregivers to collect necessary information and documentation
  • Provide explanations about visits, instructions, and answer patient concerns and questions
  • Communicate with referring providers, clinical departments, and other personnel to exchange information and confirm schedules
  • Verify insurance benefits and obtain pre-certification or authorization as necessary
  • Determine and accept required payments including co-pays and deductibles or refer patients to financial counselors for follow-up
  • Accurately enter demographic, billing, and clinical data into registration systems timely
  • Apply critical thinking and decisive judgment to work independently in a fast-paced environment
