Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- Ability to work onsite at the Denver location
- Availability to work PRN schedule with flexible shifts
- Strong customer service orientation and communication skills
- Ability to handle sensitive patient information confidentially
- Capacity to assist with patient escort and transport within the facility
- Basic computer skills for data entry and record keeping
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to operate computer registration systems accurately
- Experience working in a healthcare or customer service environment is preferred
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced setting
- Basic knowledge of insurance and healthcare terminologies is a plus
Job Duties
- Meets with patient and/or patient caregiver to exchange necessary information and documentation
- Provides explanation of visit instructions and addresses concerns and questions
- Verifies insurance benefits and obtains pre-certification or authorization as necessary
- Escorts and transports patients and visitors within facility, including assistance with wheelchairs or oxygen tanks
- Determines and accepts required payments, including co-pays and deductibles, or refers to financial counselors for follow up
- Ensures all necessary demographic, billing, and clinical information is obtained and accurately entered in registration system
- Uses critical thinking and judgment to take appropriate action in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision
