Job Requirements

  • Pastry or food-related degree preferred
  • Minimum five years of experience in a commercial or production kitchen
  • Prior experience as a Pastry Chef preferred
  • Knowledge of chocolate, recipes, and basic mixing and blending skills
  • Strong communication skills
  • Working knowledge of food ingredient functions in pastries and baked goods
  • Ability to stay current on food trends
  • Willingness to travel 50%

Job Qualifications

  • Pastry or food-related degree preferred such as Food Science, Culinary Arts
  • At least five years of experience in a commercial or production kitchen or other professional cooking or food environment, ideally focused on Pastry & Baking
  • Prior experience as a Pastry Chef preferred
  • Knowledge of chocolate, recipes, and basic mixing and blending skills
  • Ability to communicate easily with customers and operators
  • Working knowledge of how food ingredients function in pastry and baked goods
  • Demonstrated success communicating food trends and their applications to a wide variety of audiences and platforms including food shows and virtual presentations
  • Willingness to travel up to 50%

Job Duties

  • Promote the versatility of our Pastry solutions to operators
  • Collaborate with Sales to determine the best way to highlight and coordinate the Pastry & Baking portion of vendor presentations and marketing events
  • Heighten awareness of Pastry & Baking inventory through weekly Hot Sheet for items to focus on and push
  • Work closely with Sales and Customers to create interest and solve challenges for operators
  • Research and be current on food trends and provide Pastry & Baking insight both internally and with external customers
  • Participate in food shows, presentations, and other strategic events
