Job Requirements
- At least 2 years of experience in pastry preparation
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Food handling certificate
- Strong organization and time management skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work well with others and give direction
- Positive attitude
- Supervisory experience preferred
Job Qualifications
- Belief in and adherence to the Statement of Faith and Mission of The Navigators
- At least 2 years of experience in pastry preparation
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills including verbal and written
- Supervisory experience preferred
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Food handling certificate required
- Certification of culinary training or apprenticeship preferred
Job Duties
- Prepare all menu items following recipes and presentation guidelines, according to departmental standards
- Assist with managing a team of pastry cooks in completion of tasks
- Assist in the creation and execution of menu items for Tea, Chef's Choice, and private events
- Assist with inventory management and regular upkeep/proper storage of goods
- Act as back in the absence of the Head Pastry Chef
- Participate in Navigators' on-site learning and development events, Cultural Development and Diversity trainings
- Participate in annual processes such as the organizational Plan and Progress Review, Engagement Survey, Reaffirmation of the Navigators Code of Conduct, Calling-Core Values-Vision, Statement of Faith, Driver's Authorization, and other releases as required
- Submit time worked on a weekly basis through the Workday Time Tracking system
- Other job-related duties as assigned
