The Corporate Pastry Chef position offers an exciting executive role responsible for leading the pastry and baking operations across multiple properties within Premier Hospitality Group. Additionally, the Corporate Pastry Chef will forge strong relationships with suppliers and vendors to source the finest ingredients, emphasizing the use of local produce and flavors that give the desserts a distinctive Hawaiian identity. They will ensure all pastry kitchens operate under strict compliance with health and safety regulations, including Department of Health (DOH) standards and HACCP protocols. Overseeing production schedules for both à la carte services and large-scale banquets or events is a critical component, ensuring flawless execution regardless of the size or complexity of the operation.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in culinary arts or related field
  • minimum of 7 years progressive pastry arts experience including 3 years in leadership
  • experience managing multi-unit or high-volume pastry operations
  • formal training or certification in baking and pastry arts preferred
  • strong leadership and team management skills
  • knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards including HACCP
  • ability to develop innovative menu concepts and control costs
  • excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Job Qualifications

  • Minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in pastry arts with at least 3 years in a leadership role
  • experience in high-volume production environment such as large hotel resort or multi-unit restaurant group
  • formal culinary education with degree or certification in baking and pastry arts preferred
  • expertise in classical French pastry artisan bread baking chocolate work sugar work and modern dessert plating
  • proven leadership skills with ability to inspire train and manage diverse culinary teams
  • strong business acumen with experience in profit and loss management menu costing and inventory control
  • in-depth knowledge of food safety including HACCP and local health standards
  • exceptional creativity and passion for culinary trends combined with respect for tradition

Job Duties

  • Direct and oversee all pastry and baking operations across multiple properties ensuring brand standards for quality presentation and execution
