Job Description

Sheraton Dallas Hotel, part of Marriott International, is a renowned hospitality establishment located in the vibrant city of Dallas, Texas. Known for its commitment to exceptional guest experiences and a welcoming atmosphere, the hotel has established itself as a premier destination for travelers and locals alike. Sheraton Dallas offers a blend of comfort, luxury, and convenience, situated at 400 Olive St, right in the heart of the city. As part of the global Marriott International family, the hotel benefits from a rich history dating back to 1937 and a culture centered on connecting people through meaningful hospitality experiences. The hotel boasts a diverse and dynamic team dedicated to creating memorable moments for all guests and fostering an inclusive workplace where every associate feels valued and supported.

The role of a Culinary Associate at Sheraton Dallas Hotel represents a key component of the food and beverage team. This full-time, non-management position is an excellent opportunity for those interested in developing their culinary skills within a distinguished hotel environment. Associates working in this position will benefit from a unique partnership between Sheraton Dallas and Rouxbe, a premier online culinary school, which provides access to a comprehensive range of culinary training resources tailored to help associates grow their careers. This role involves preparing and cooking food according to established recipes, quality standards, and presentation guidelines. Culinary Associates will be responsible for ensuring all food preparation areas meet hygiene and safety standards, utilizing kitchen equipment effectively, and maintaining a clean and organized workspace.

In addition to hands-on culinary duties, the role demands a strong commitment to following company policies related to food safety, personal hygiene, and workplace safety. This includes monitoring appliance and food temperatures, reporting any issues to management, and practicing safe food handling protocols. Culinary Associates are also expected to communicate clearly and professionally with team members and guests, support team goals, and demonstrate professionalism in appearance and conduct. Physical requirements for this role include the ability to move and lift objects up to 25 pounds, work on varied surfaces, and maintain physical activity throughout the shift, such as standing or walking for extended periods.

Joining Sheraton Dallas as a Culinary Associate means becoming part of a globally recognized brand that values diversity, encourages professional development, and promotes an inclusive culture. The hotel’s commitment to equal opportunity employment ensures that all associates have access to fair treatment and a supportive workplace, regardless of their background or experience. This position is ideal for individuals who are eager to start or grow their culinary careers in a supportive and innovative environment where continuous learning and teamwork are encouraged. By joining Sheraton Dallas, associates not only gain valuable industry experience but also become part of a welcoming community where their contributions help set the standard for hospitality excellence.
