The role of a Food Preparation Cook within The Ritz-Carlton represents a pivotal position in the culinary team, tasked with upholding the brand's celebrated Gold Standards. This position involves preparing and cooking food items adhering to detailed recipes, quality benchmarks, and presentation guidelines to ensure guests receive impeccable dining experiences. Job Duties

  • Prepare and cook food according to recipes, quality and presentation standards, and food prep checklists
  • Prepare ingredients for cooking including portioning, chopping, and storing food
  • Use baking and measuring tools and kitchen appliances safely and appropriately
  • Follow food safety handling policies and personal hygiene procedures
  • Check temperatures of kitchen appliances and food, reporting issues to management
  • Wash and disinfect kitchen area, set up and break down workstation, and comply with sanitation and cleaning procedures
  • Monitor food quality and portion sizes throughout shift
  • Follow company policies including safety, security, and confidentiality
  • Communicate clearly and professionally
  • Develop positive working relationships and support team goals
  • Perform physical tasks such as lifting and moving objects up to 25 pounds
  • Engage in other reasonable duties as requested by supervisors
