The role being offered is a full-time, non-management culinary associate position based onsite at Sheraton Dallas Hotel. This opportunity is ideal for individuals with less than one year of related culinary experience, looking to enter or grow within the hospitality industry. The successful candidate will take on diverse culinary responsibilities including preparing and cooking food according to set recipes, maintaining quality and presentation standards, and correctly handling food safety procedures. This role includes preparing ingredients, using baking and measuring tools and equipment, and maintaining cleanliness and sanitation in the kitchen. Moreover, the culinary associate will monitor food quality and portion sizes during shifts while ensuring compliance with Marriott’s rigorous standards in safety, security, and food hygiene. The position also involves teamwork and communication duties crucial for maintaining a positive working environment and delivering exceptional guest experiences.

Sheraton Dallas Hotel has partnered with Rouxbe Cooking School to provide culinary associates with access to engaging and self-paced online culinary training. Job Duties

  • Prepare and cook food according to recipes, quality and presentation standards
  • Prepare ingredients for cooking including portioning, chopping and storing
  • Safely use baking and measuring tools, equipment and appliances
  • Follow and ensure compliance with food safety handling policies and procedures
  • Check and ensure correct temperatures of kitchen appliances and food
  • Wash and disinfect kitchen area, set-up and break-down work station
  • Monitor the quality of food prepared and portions served throughout shift
