Job Requirements
- Technical, trade, or vocational school degree preferred
- at least 2 years of related work experience preferred
- ability to safely use baking tools and equipment
- knowledge of food safety and hygiene policies
- physical ability to stand, walk, lift, and move objects up to 25 pounds
- strong communication and interpersonal skills
- ability to follow company policies and safety protocols

Job Duties
- Prepare breads and pastries including doughs and fillings
- proof, bake, and decorate baked goods as appropriate
- review daily production sheets to determine variety and quantity of baked items
- prepare and cook food according to recipes and quality standards
- maintain kitchen logs for food safety compliance
- communicate excess food items to Chef for daily specials planning
- safely use baking and measuring tools and equipment
- ensure compliance with food safety handling and personal hygiene policies
- check and report temperatures of kitchen appliances and food
- monitor quality and portions throughout shifts
- assist management with hiring, training, scheduling, evaluating, coaching, disciplining, and motivating employees
- serve as a department role model or mentor
- follow company policies including safety and security
- report accidents and unsafe conditions
- maintain clean and professional uniform and appearance
- protect company assets and confidential information
- communicate professionally and handle sensitive issues with tact and respect
- perform physical tasks including lifting up to 25 pounds, standing, walking, and moving over uneven surfaces
- perform other duties as assigned by supervisors
