Job Requirements
- Ability or willingness to learn operation of bakery manufacturing equipment such as deck ovens, proofers, rack ovens and fryers
- Ability to multi-task in high-volume production bakery
- Maintain highest standards of product quality
- Communicate professionally in writing and verbally
- Ability to stand for 8+ hours per shift
- Ability to kneel, grasp, and lift or carry up to 50lbs regularly
- Consistent and reliable attendance
- Availability to work day and late afternoon shifts during weekdays, weekends and holidays as needed
Job Qualifications
- Minimum of 1-2 years experience in high-volume pastry or banquet production kitchen
- Demonstrated knowledge of scaling and measuring ingredients
- Proficiency in varied pastry mixing techniques such as creaming, rubbing, whisking, folding, kneading, reverse creaming, and all-in-one methods
- Experience making custards and creams
- Understanding of baking science
- Ability to finish desserts and pastries professionally
- Passion for baking with keen eye for freshness, quality and cleanliness
- Ability to thrive in fast-paced environments
- Eagerness to learn and develop skills
- Flexibility to work varied shifts including weekends
Job Duties
- Identify and select ingredients
- Prepare and mix dough, cookies, pies, pastries and confections
- Produce components of various items including tarts and pies
- Adhere to predetermined production schedules
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in kitchen and dish area
- Collaborate effectively with team members
- Take pride in product quality and presentation
