As a Pastry Cook at Army Navy Country Club, you will be an integral part of the culinary team within the Club's bustling kitchen. Reporting directly to the Executive Chef, Executive Sous Chef, and Pastry Chef, the position entails preparing a wide range of high-quality sweet products that align with the club’s standards of excellence. This includes creating cakes, pastries, cookies, specialty desserts, ice creams, and other daily menu offerings. The role requires a mastery of baking techniques, an eye for detail in decoration and presentation, and the ability to meet fast-paced kitchen demands while maintaining the highest standards of taste and appearance.
In your capacity as a Pastry Cook, you will contribute to creating memorable dining experiences for members and guests, showcasing both creativity and technical skill in your work. Job Requirements
- high school diploma or ged required
- associate degree in baking and pastry arts, or a related field, preferred
- post-secondary vocational training from a culinary institution is a plus
- two or more years of experience as a pastry cook, baker, or in a similar role
- flexible availability, including weekends and evenings, as needed

Job Duties
- prepare all menu items according to recipes and departmental standards
- prepare a wide variety of baked goods such as cakes, cookies, pies, and bread, following defined recipes
- decorate pastries with toppings to ensure presentation is tasteful and appealing to customers
- monitor inventory of baking ingredients such as flour, sugar, and spices, and notify the Chef when items need to be replenished
- taste products, review menus, estimate food needs, and maintain appropriate records
- create enticing confectionery decorations and pastry fillings
- prioritize and ensure kitchen cleanliness and sanitation
