The role of Cook I at Four Seasons Hotel Philadelphia entails preparing high-quality menu items while maintaining consistency, presentation, and adherence to stringent food safety standards. This full-time position is integral to the kitchen team, responsible for executing recipes precisely, supporting overall kitchen operations, and maintaining an efficient and organized workspace in a fast-paced culinary environment. The Cook I ensures that all dishes meet the hotel’s exceptional quality benchmarks by following portioning guidelines and standardized culinary procedures.
In this role, the Cook I performs essential duties including mise en place, setup for different meal services, and preparation of food items based on forecasted demands to minimize waste. The position demands strong culinary knowledge, the ability to operate and maintain kitchen equipment safely, and compliance with regulatory standards for food storage and labeling. Teamwork and collaboration are emphasized, as the Cook I works closely with peers and leadership to sustain a professional and supportive kitchen atmosphere.
Candidates for this position are expected to have a minimum of four years of culinary or related experience with solid foundational cooking expertise. Culinary education or equivalent professional experience is preferred.
