Job Requirements

  • 3+ years of pastry chef or pastry sous chef experience
  • Experience in upscale full-service restaurant or high-end bakery
  • Volume experience of 5 million or higher
  • Strong foundation in classical and modern pastry techniques including bread
  • Creative, organized, and highly detail-oriented
  • Excellent leadership abilities and communication skills
  • Passion for hospitality, teamwork, and continual innovation

Job Duties

  • Design and execute dessert menus that align with the restaurant's culinary style
  • Lead pastry production from plated desserts to breads, doughs, and confections
  • Collaborate closely with Executive Chefs and GMs to develop seasonal offerings
  • Manage ordering, inventory, costing, and production schedules
  • Maintain cleanliness, food safety, and high standards in the pastry kitchen
  • Train, mentor, and supervise the pastry team and support staff
  • Contribute to special events, tasting menus, and holiday offerings
