Job Requirements
- Work authorization in the United States required
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum 2 years of experience in pastry or baking
- Ability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays
- Physical ability to stand for extended periods and perform kitchen tasks
- Commitment to maintaining safety and hygiene standards
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn
Job Qualifications
- Previous experience in pastry or baking in a luxury hotel or similar high-end environment
- Ability to follow detailed recipes and maintain consistent quality
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
- Team player with excellent communication skills
- Culinary diploma or relevant certification preferred
- Passion for pastry arts and creativity in presentation
Job Duties
- Supervise and oversee the preparation of pastry food items per guest orders or as assigned by kitchen management in accordance with production requirements and quality standards while maintaining a safe, sanitary work environment
- Participate in the preparation of food items according to guest orders of consistent quality following recipe cards, as well as production, portion, and presentation standards
- Complete mis en place and set-up station for breakfast, lunch, and/or dinner service
- Start food items that are prepared ahead of time, making sure not to prepare beyond estimated needs
- Operate, maintain and properly clean kitchen equipment
