Job Description

Rose Senior Living Farmington Hills is a distinguished senior living community dedicated to providing exceptional care and hospitality services to its residents. As an integral part of Edward Rose & Sons, a company renowned for its commitment to enriching the lives of seniors, Rose Senior Living Farmington Hills emphasizes personal connection, genuine respect, and superior service. The community takes pride in celebrating the life stories of the wisest people on earth, creating an environment where residents feel valued, comfortable, and truly at home. With a forward-thinking approach, this community not only prioritizes the well-being of its residents but also invests deeply in the growth and development of its employees, fostering a workplace culture grounded in respect, empathy, and professional excellence.

Within this robust and caring environment, we are currently seeking a hospitality-focused Pastry Chef / Cook to join our Community Culinary Services Department. This position is crucial for crafting high-quality baked goods and desserts that delight residents while also supporting general cooking duties within the kitchen. The Pastry Chef / Cook will uphold our commitment to quality, cleanliness, and nutritional standards, ensuring each dish served meets and exceeds expectations. Alongside the culinary preparation, this role demands attention to inventory management and adherence to dietary guidelines to meet regulatory and nutritional requirements. The work schedule includes every other weekend shifts and collaborative support for line cooking during peak times, demanding both flexibility and dedication.

This role provides the opportunity to engage directly with residents, periodically evaluating food service quality—from temperature to presentation—and adjusting when necessary to enhance the dining experience. The ideal candidate will not only bring technical baking and cooking skills but also a warm and inviting demeanor that aligns with our community’s hospitality promises. At Rose Senior Living Farmington Hills, you will join a team that values teamwork, professional growth, and delivering an extraordinary life experience for seniors. The employment type offers a competitive hourly pay range of $18 to $22, dependent on experience, and includes comprehensive benefits designed to support employees' health, happiness, and financial security. Joining us means becoming part of an extraordinary life where your work enriches the lives of others every day.
