Job Requirements

  • minimum of two years of proven experience as a pastry chef in a high-volume environment
  • possessing great attention to detail and creativity
  • having organizational and leadership skills
  • owning the experience and passion to create delicious, attractive results for weddings and events
  • willingness to replenish professional knowledge
  • ensuring all health code and regulations are met
  • in depth knowledge of sanitation principles
  • food preparation and baking techniques and nutrition
  • working knowledge of baking with ingredient limitations
  • time management skills
  • knowledge of how baking ingredients work together
  • helpful to have a two or four year accredited culinary school degree
  • hours may vary in accordance with the needs of planned events

Job Duties

  • prepare a wide variety of goods such as cakes, cookies, pies, gourmet desserts by following traditional and modern recipes
  • create new and exciting desserts to renew our menus and engage the interest of customers
  • decorate pastries using different icings, toppings etc. to ensure the presentation will be beautiful and exciting
  • monitor stocks for baking ingredients such as flour, sugar etc. and make appropriate orders within budget
  • check quality of materials and the condition of equipment and devices used for baking
  • monitor, analyze and control food costs, meet productions schedules and ensure budgets are met while maintaining product quality and consistency
  • maintain a clean and orderly baking station and adhere to health and safety standards
