The Woodlands Waterway Marriott Hotel & Convention Center, located at 1601 Lake Robbins Dr in The Woodlands, Texas, is a distinguished property within Marriott International's portfolio. This hotel is known for its exceptional hospitality services, combining luxury accommodations with state-of-the-art convention facilities, making it an ideal destination for both business and leisure travelers. Marriott International is a leading global hospitality company that prides itself on offering unique and memorable guest experiences across its renowned brands worldwide. As part of its commitment to excellence, the Woodlands Waterway Marriott Hotel seeks to uphold the high standards recognized by Marriott International by focusing on both guest satisfaction and employee engagement. The hotel maintains a strong emphasis on innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement, all while fostering a diverse and inclusive work environment where associates are valued and their talents nurtured.

The role available is for a Pastry Chef – a key management position that plays a vital role in the Food and Beverage department. This full-time role offers an annual salary ranging from $77,000 to $102,000, with eligibility for performance-related bonuses. The Pastry Chef will showcase creative baking and decorating skills, leading a culinary team responsible for preparing high-quality, visually appealing, and consistent pastries catered to all areas of the hotel, including restaurants, events, and room service. The position demands leadership in training and developing staff, ensuring that the culinary team delivers exceptional products while adhering strictly to sanitation and food safety standards.

Beyond culinary expertise, this role embraces operational management responsibilities including managing day-to-day pastry kitchen operations, enforcing food storage and handling protocols, sustaining budgetary controls, and supporting purchasing and inventory management. The Pastry Chef is expected to foster an open, collaborative team environment, promoting trust, respect, and professional growth among staff. The role also involves direct hands-on preparation and decorating of pastries, reinforcing the role as a leader by example.

This position is part of Marriott's broader organizational culture — one that values associates’ well-being, diversity, and professional development. The Pastry Chef will help enhance guest satisfaction by delivering outstanding pastry experiences that align with Marriott International's legacy of exceptional service and quality. The candidate will be an influential figure in maintaining culinary goals, training employees on menu knowledge and safe work procedures, and inspiring a customer-focused team that values continuous improvement. This is an outstanding opportunity for motivated culinary professionals seeking growth within a globally recognized luxury hotel brand within Marriott's renowned portfolio, specifically under the JW Marriott brand, which emphasizes holistic well-being and creating memorable guest experiences.
