We are currently seeking Pastry Assistants to join our vibrant team at our Ritz-Carlton Waikiki store. This full-time position offers competitive pay and includes benefits such as health insurance, paid time off, and more. The Pastry Assistant role is essential in supporting the Pastry Chef by helping to plan and execute the dessert menu items available throughout the restaurant, café, and catering operations. This position demands a focus on quality, consistency, and presentation, ensuring every dessert served meets Dean & DeLuca Hawaii's high standards. Ideal candidates are those with at least one year of pastry experience who enjoy working in fast-paced, physically demanding environments and are passionate about food craftsmanship. Responsibilities include preparing and presenting desserts with precision, maintaining cleanliness and organization, and assisting in the daily operations of the pastry section. Physical stamina is a necessity due to the requirements of standing for durations of the shift, lifting weights of 25-30 pounds, and performing repetitive motions in both hot and cold settings.
