The Pasta Cook position at California Pizza Kitchen is a dynamic and rewarding role perfect for individuals passionate about food and delivering outstanding hospitality. As a Pasta Cook, you will be responsible for maintaining the highest standards of food quality and sanitation, ensuring guests receive meals that meet CPK’s exceptional standards. This role requires timely and accurate preparation of pastas, sandwiches, and grilled items, contributing to the overall guest satisfaction and operational efficiency of the kitchen. You will be actively involved in supporting line checks and completing preparation par sheets for each shift, guaranteeing all station items are ready and available. Emphasizing food safety, you will practice and teach proper safe and sanitary handling of all kitchen equipment and utensils, including cutting boards, countertops, and knives. Maintaining proper temperature of kitchen equipment and conducting station opening, closing, and side work duties are also key responsibilities. The ideal candidate will have three to six months of prior cooking experience or training, demonstrating a blend of culinary skills and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Three to six months of related cooking experience or training
  • Ability to work flexible shifts including weekends and holidays
  • Basic knowledge of kitchen safety and sanitation
  • Physical ability to perform station opening, closing, and side work duties
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Legal authorization to work in the United States
