Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • proficiency in using computers and point-of-sale (POS) systems
  • previous retail or related industry experience is a plus
  • familiarity with cycle counting or inventory processes is beneficial
  • strong customer service skills

  • physical ability to lift and carry items weighing 25-50 lbs

Job Duties

  • Engage with customers, greet, and assist them to create a positive shopping experience
  • help customers find the right products, provide recommendations and offer solutions for their projects
  • stock and organize merchandise to maintain a clean, well-presented store
  • answer phone calls in a polite and timely manner, addressing customer inquiries
  • assist with inventory-related tasks, including performing cycle counts, verifying stock levels and maintaining accurate records
  • upsell related items and promote the Do It Best reward program to build loyalty
  • follow company standards and procedures to ensure smooth store operations
  • process checkouts accurately, adhering to proper cash handling procedures
  • continuously expand knowledge of products across all departments to enhance service and identify selling opportunities
  • address and resolve customer issues with management support
  • maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment
  • complete all assigned training to stay up-to-date with product knowledge and company policies
  • assist in other departments/functions as needed to provide great customer service
  • perform any other tasks as assigned by supervisors or management
