As a Part-Time Smoothie Barista, you will be responsible for preparing and serving a variety of smoothies, beverages, and light food items with precision and care. You will operate POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS efficiently, engage with customers in a friendly and energetic manner, and help maintain cleanliness and food safety standards throughout the caf. Managing cash transactions accurately and assisting with inventory management will also be key components of your role.
This position offers a competitive wage of $21.00 to $21.30 per hour and is tailored for those who enjoy working in fast-paced, customer-focused environments. We specifically seek individuals who are available for opening shifts on Wednesdays and Fridays (8 am to 2 or 3 pm) and closing shifts on Fridays (2 pm to 9 or 3 pm to 9 pm). Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience in a barista or food service role
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work flexible hours including early mornings and evenings
- Basic math skills for cash handling
- Knowledge of food safety standards and procedures
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks associated with food preparation
- Must be punctual and reliable
Job Qualifications
- Proven experience as a barista or in food service with knowledge of coffee preparation preferred
- Familiarity with POS systems like Aloha POS or Micros POS is highly desirable
- Strong time management skills to handle busy periods efficiently while maintaining quality service
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with diverse guests
- Basic math skills for cash handling retail math and transaction accuracy
- Knowledge of food safety standards food handling procedures and proper sanitation practices
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced caf environment while managing multiple tasks effectively

- Prepare and serve a variety of smoothies beverages and light food items with precision and care
- Operate POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS efficiently for order processing and payments
- Engage with customers in a friendly energetic manner to ensure excellent service and satisfaction
- Maintain cleanliness and food safety standards across the caf area including food handling and preparation
- Manage cash handling duties accurately including cash register operations and balancing transactions
- Assist with inventory management restocking supplies and ensuring product freshness
- Follow all food safety protocols and health regulations to ensure a safe environment for staff and guests
