Job Description

Planned Companies is a reputable property management and lifestyle services company dedicated to enhancing the living experience for residents and guests within its managed properties. With a strong presence in the Washington D.C. area, Planned Companies focuses on delivering exceptional customer service and maintaining safe, welcoming environments for all tenants, visitors, and vendors. The company prides itself on fostering close relationships between its staff and residents, ensuring a personalized experience that aligns with each individual’s unique lifestyle and needs.

As part of its commitment to superior service, Planned Lifestyle Services (PLS), a subdivision of Planned Companies, is currently seeking highly motivated, courteous, and knowledgeable Front Desk Associates and Doormen to join their team. These roles are part-time positions specifically scheduled for weekends, Saturdays and Sundays from 7 AM to 7 PM, with a competitive pay rate of $20.00 per hour.

The role of Concierge at Planned Companies is crucial in creating a positive first impression for all who enter the building. This position requires professionals who are adept at greeting and assisting tenants, guests, and vendors upon arrival, ensuring they feel welcomed and valued. Beyond basic reception duties, Concierge team members develop and maintain personalized rapport with residents, providing tailored recommendations and assistance that enhance their overall living experience.

Responsibilities include scheduling reservations and appointments for tenants at local restaurants, businesses, hotels, and entertainment venues, helping to enrich residents’ social lives and convenience. The Concierge also plays an integral role in planning and organizing on-site events, fostering a sense of community within the buildings they serve. Additionally, they offer expert guidance on local entertainment options, dining choices, retail shopping, sporting events, tourist attractions, and car services, acting as a trusted resource for both new and long-term residents.

Operational tasks include managing and securing mail, deliveries, and vendor services at designated areas to ensure smooth and efficient building operations. Concierges are responsible for answering incoming calls, monitoring lobby activity, and controlling access through key and card management, contributing to the property's overall safety and security.

Ideal candidates for this position bring a minimum of three years of customer service experience, embody a genuine passion for providing a warm, welcoming atmosphere, and communicate clearly both verbally and in writing. Candidates must have basic computer skills, local knowledge of the Washington D.C. area’s attractions and amenities, and demonstrate the ability to multitask effectively in a dynamic environment. Physical capability to lift up to 50 pounds when necessary is also required.

Planned Companies offers comprehensive benefits for full-time employees working 30 or more hours per week, including medical, dental, vision, and other ancillary coverages. Both full-time and part-time employees have access to a 401K retirement plan with an employer match, supporting long-term financial wellness.

As an equal opportunity employer, Planned Companies embraces diversity and inclusion in the workplace, ensuring fair employment opportunities regardless of race, sex, color, religion, age, national origin, marital status, disability, veteran status, genetic information, sexual orientation, gender identity, or any other protected status under law.
