The Louisville Palace and Mercury Ballroom are currently seeking seasonal part-time Ancillary crew members for the 2024 concert season. This position involves assisting patrons with point-of-sale items, including seat upgrades, cash to card transactions, and other additional purchases offered during the season. Ancillary crew members are expected to arrive before shows start and stay after to aid in post-show pickup of equipment and rentals.
The role includes soliciting sales of new or additional services or products within the venue, handling customer transactions in areas focused on customer interaction such as cash to card dealings, and maintaining coat check and monitoring customer belongings. Collaboration is essential, as crew members partner post-show to close the venue, which may involve picking up and properly storing event equipment like lawn chairs, barricades, bike racks, metal detectors, and tables. Additionally, this role supports venue sustainability efforts by sorting waste correctly, educating fans about these initiatives, and collecting recyclables before and after shows.
Ideal candidates have at least one year of guest service experience and possess strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills. The position requires constant walking, stair climbing, occasional sitting, lifting, and carrying items weighing over 25 pounds. The company upholds a strong commitment to diversity, equity, inclusion, and equal employment opportunity, encouraging applicants from all backgrounds to apply. Live Nation also offers reasonable accommodations to enable qualified individuals with disabilities or pregnancy-related needs to perform their job functions effectively. Overall, this role is an excellent opportunity for passionate, motivated individuals who enjoy a dynamic, customer-centric environment at one of the world's premier live entertainment companies.
