Job Description
Valet Living is a dynamic company specializing in providing essential trash collection services to apartment communities. They focus on maintaining clean, welcoming environments where residents can enjoy a tidy and pleasant living space. Valet Living is known for its commitment to safety, reliability, and community service, operating with a team-oriented culture that values diversity and inclusion. They provide pivotal services that contribute to the upkeep of residential communities, ensuring that trash and recycling waste is efficiently collected and managed. The company not only values hard work but also emphasizes career growth opportunities and the well-being of its employees.
The part-time Trash Collector (Service Valet) role at Valet Living is crafted for individuals looking for an active job that allows them to earn extra income while staying physically engaged. This position involves collecting trash and recycling bags directly from residents' doorsteps within apartment communities and transporting them to on-site compactors. Unlike many waste management jobs, this role does not require heavy lifting of bulk items, off-site driving, or dumping, making it more accessible while still physically active. Employees use a company-provided mobile app to log critical service information such as arrival and departure times, tracking data, and non-compliance photos, which facilitates efficient communication and workflow management.
Working as a Trash Collector with Valet Living means being active throughout your shift, as responsibilities include walking the property, climbing stairs, and operating outdoors in various weather conditions. The position is part-time, typically offering around 10 to 15+ hours per week, with evening shifts commonly scheduled Sunday through Thursday and starting between 7:00 PM and 8:00 PM. The job is ideal for individuals who prefer or require an evening schedule to complement other commitments or who appreciate the opportunity to earn supplemental income on a flexible timetable.
Valet Living prioritizes assigning workers to locations near their homes whenever possible, which enhances job convenience for their employees. Compensation starts at $17 per hour, making this not only a physically active role but also a competitive option for part-time work. Additional perks of working in this role include access to Fast Pay through DailyPay, opportunities for career advancement into leadership roles, and referral bonuses for bringing new team members into the company. The company also ensures safety by providing necessary gloves, vests, and gear, supporting a secure work environment.
Inclusivity is a core value at Valet Living. The company is an Equal Opportunity Employer that does not discriminate based on race, religion, creed, color, national origin, age, gender, sexual orientation, gender identity, marital status, disability, veteran status, or any other protected characteristic. Employees who require accommodations during the application or interview process receive dedicated support to ensure equitable hiring practices.
