Job Description

Kalahari Resorts & Conventions is a leading hospitality company known for crafting unforgettable vacation experiences through its African-inspired resorts. These resorts feature America’s largest indoor waterparks, world-class dining, luxurious spas, thrilling entertainment, and state-of-the-art convention centers. As a family-owned company with a strong commitment to hospitality, Kalahari emphasizes a unique culture built on their Promise to "Lead with Love." This foundational principle means that the company deeply cares for its guests, associates, and the surrounding communities by treating everyone like family, giving back generously, and fostering inclusive environments where people feel valued. Additionally, Kalahari Resorts has partnered with the global charity water initiative, aiming to bring clean water to one million people in Africa, reflecting its dedication to making a positive impact beyond hospitality.

The role of Part Time Server at Kalahari Resorts is a critical position within B-Lux Grill and Bar, located within their expansive resorts. This position involves providing friendly, responsive, and personalized service that goes beyond expectations to create memorable dining experiences for every guest. The server acts as a representative of the Kalahari Promise, embodying the company’s core values daily by fostering a welcoming environment and delivering exceptional customer service. The Part Time Server will work collaboratively with the entire team, including servers, bussers, hosts, hostesses, and management, ensuring efficient and smooth workflow in a fast-paced dining setting. They are responsible for greeting guests, informing them about specials, recommending menu items, accurately taking and entering food and beverage orders, and delivering these orders promptly with attention to detail.

This position also emphasizes teamwork and flexibility, as servers are expected to assist their colleagues as situations arise to maintain high service standards. Proficiency in operating various systems, such as Micros terminal, phone, POS system, and beverage dispensers, is essential. While bi-lingual skills are preferred, they are not a strict requirement. Serving at Kalahari Resorts is more than just a job; it involves contributing to a culture that values respect, growth, and the creation of joyful moments for guests and associates alike.

Kalahari offers a comprehensive benefits package to its team members, showcasing opportunities for career growth through promotions, a 401(k) matching program, paid time off, holiday pay, and health, dental, and vision insurance options for full-time associates. The company also provides employee appreciation events, discounts across its resorts, and education assistance programs designed to help employees advance their careers.

Recognized by Forbes as one of America’s Best Midsize Employers and America’s Best Employers for Women, as well as by USA TODAY as the number one Best Indoor Water Park, Kalahari Resorts fosters a workplace where innovation thrives and meaningful work makes a real impact. Opportunities exist across multiple locations including Wisconsin Dells, WI; Sandusky, OH; Pocono Manor, PA; Round Rock, TX; and Spotsylvania County, VA.
