Job Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
- Current state nursing licensure to practice in good standing
- Completion or documentation of Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Completion or documentation of Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification
- Completion or documentation of Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification if pediatric care is included
- One year of OR and/or medical/surgical nursing experience preferred
Job Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
- One year of OR and/or medical/surgical nursing experience preferred
- Current state nursing licensure to practice in good standing
- Successful completion of Basic Life Support (BLS) within 90 days of employment or documentation of current BLS certification
- Successful completion of Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) within 90 days of employment or documentation of current ACLS certification
- Successful completion of Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) within 90 days of employment or current certification if pediatric care is included
- Specialty certification in Perioperative Nursing is preferred
Job Duties
- Promote the mission, vision, and values of SCA
- Assess patient status throughout the perioperative episode of care
- Develop an individualized perioperative patient plan of care
- Serve as a member of a multidisciplinary team in planning perioperative patient care
