As a Continuing Care Retirement Community and Residential Care Facility for the Elderly, Moldaw Residences proudly offers a comprehensive range of services that cater to the diverse needs of senior residents. Moldaw Residences is currently seeking caregivers and med tech professionals who are passionate about making a significant positive impact on the lives of senior citizens. This role involves being an essential member of the Wellness team, providing attentive and high-quality care to residents while supporting their health and well-being. The position is part-time, with available shifts in both the morning and evening, offering a competitive hourly salary range of $24.00 to $26.00. Caregivers at Moldaw Residences are entrusted with crucial responsibilities including assistance with medication administration per individualized care plans, supporting residents during meal times, and encouraging overall participation in community programs such as the Heartfelt Connections Program. Additionally, maintaining a calm and safe environment and ensuring cleanliness in communal spaces are key priorities. Candidates will be involved in monitoring resident health status, promptly reporting any changes or concerns to the Director of Health Services or supervisors, and documenting all care activities following established protocols.

Job Requirements
- Prior geriatric nursing aide experience, preferred
- Current and valid First Aid and CPR certification or willing to get certified
- Ability to read, write, understand, and follow instructions in English
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office or willingness to learn within 90 days of employment for maintaining proper documentation of care provided during shift
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required
- One (1) year experience working as a CNA/PCA/HHA/RA preferred
- Ability to read, write, understand, and follow instructions in English
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office or willingness to learn within 90 days of employment for maintaining proper documentation of care provided during shift
- Current and valid First Aid and CPR certification or willingness to get certified
Job Duties
- Assist residents as assigned with a high quality of medication administration assistance per individual Care Plan/ISP as directed by physician orders
- Assist residents with meal time, cut food, encourage to eat, feed when needed (where applicable)
- Utilize an on-going basis each day all aspects of special programs offered in Heartfelt Connections Program (where applicable)
- Maintain calm atmosphere at all times
- Keep kitchen, work station, laundry room, bathroom and common areas neat and clean (where applicable)
- Report to Director of Health Services and/or LPN-LVN-Care Partner all unusual behavior of resident (changing of status) or refusal of medications
- Document resident status as per policy
- Respond to all call lights and emergencies in a timely manner
- Provide emergency care within scope of practice
- Carry out various procedures such as collection of lab specimen for urine and stool samples
- Attend in-service training and education session, as assigned
- Perform specific work duties and responsibilities as assigned by supervisor
