Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • minimum 2 years experience in culinary or restaurant kitchen environment
  • food handler certification if applicable
  • proficient in knife skills and kitchen equipment operation
  • strong time management and organizational skills
  • ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced setting
  • flexible availability including evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • strong interpersonal and communication skills

Job Qualifications

  • 2 years of previous experience in restaurant and/or culinary roles in a high volume, full service restaurant preferred
  • time management and organizational ability for high quality food production
  • ability to work with minimal direction or supervision
  • food handler certification if applicable
  • trained in knife skills and basic kitchen equipment usage
  • ability to multitask in a dynamic and fast paced environment
  • ability to establish positive rapport with various types of personalities
  • flexible schedule including availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays

Job Duties

  • Provide excellent quality and presentation of all food to guests in a timely manner
  • stock and maintain sufficient levels of food products at line stations to assure smooth service periods
  • follow item specifications including preparation, execution, and presentation
  • comply consistently with standard portion sizes, cooking methods, quality standards, kitchen rules, policies and procedures
  • prevent spoiling and contamination of food by implementing proper sanitation practices
  • maintain a clean work station area including tables, shelves, grills, broilers, fryers, pasta cookers, saute burners, convection oven, flat top range, and refrigeration equipment
  • assist in daily cleaning of pantry, cooking line, prep kitchen, dish area, stairs, walk-in and prep area
  • report maintenance or repair needs to the Executive Chef
  • follow departmental policies and restaurant rules set forth in the Employee Handbook and by management
