The role of Night Auditor at the Best Western Premier Bridgewood Resort Hotel is a pivotal position that combines customer service responsibilities with essential financial auditing tasks during the overnight shift. The Night Auditor serves as the first point of contact for guests during the late hours, managing a variety of responsibilities such as answering phone calls, checking guests in and out, and resolving guest issues efficiently and professionally. Additionally, this role is critical for balancing and reconciling all daily financial transactions, including both hotel room revenues and food and beverage sales, ensuring the accuracy and integrity of the hotel’s financial records.

The Night Auditor is responsible for preparing comprehensive audit reports, verifying wake-up call requests, and setting up the front office for the morning shift. Acting as the Manager on Duty during nighttime hours, the individual in this role must demonstrate strong leadership capabilities and problem-solving skills to maintain smooth operations and provide excellent guest service when many other staff members are unavailable. The position demands a high degree of organizational ability and attention to detail, along with proficiency in using hotel management software and financial systems.

This position operates on the overnight shift, specifically Friday and Saturday nights from 11 PM to 7 AM. Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • minimum of 2 years previous hotel night audit experience preferred
  • able to perform prolonged standing
  • capable of light lifting
  • good hand dexterity
  • able to move around the front desk area
  • clear visual acuity
  • able to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent, college degree strongly preferred
  • minimum of 2 years of previous hotel night audit experience preferred
  • understand and use math concepts in order to design a financial or economic system
  • work math problems quickly and accurately
  • understand and use computers and related equipment
  • speak and write clearly to report financial information
  • excellent communication skills verbal and written
  • ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays
  • ability to assist in all front office and reservation operations, maintain organization, and manage guest concerns

Job Duties

  • Performs all audit procedures as set forth by the hotel and company on a nightly basis
  • performs all required audit reports
  • verifies the status of all wake-up call requests and ensures they are properly handled
  • balances all cash receipts and work performed during the audit shift and makes deposits of cash
  • prepares the front office for the morning shift and resets day’s business
  • acts as a guest services agent during the night time hours
  • acts as the manager on duty during night time hours
