Job Description
Valet Living is a leading provider of doorstep trash collection services, dedicated to helping apartment communities maintain cleanliness, safety, and comfort for their residents. With a commitment to quality service and resident satisfaction, Valet Living partners with apartment communities across the United States to provide reliable, convenient, and environmentally responsible waste collection solutions. The company values diversity and inclusivity, ensuring an inclusive workplace where all employees are respected and have equal opportunities to grow. Valet Living emphasizes steady work schedules, competitive pay, and a supportive work environment for its employees.
The role of Doorstep Trash Collection Specialist (also known as Service Valet) is a part-time evening position aimed at individuals seeking consistent, local work with flexible hours. This position involves servicing one or more apartment communities in your local area, ensuring all bagged trash and cardboard recycling are collected from residents' doorsteps and deposited into on-site compactors by morning. The role eliminates the need for long-distance driving or off-site dumping, as all work is confined to the nearby community area. Applicants must supply their own personal open-bed pickup truck or a vehicle with a trailer to perform the job effectively.
In this role, you will actively walk the property, climb stairs, and work outdoors during evening hours, typically Sunday through Thursday starting after 7:00 or 8:00 PM, allowing you to fit this job easily around other commitments such as a full-time job, school, or family responsibilities. Pay rates are competitive, with truck operators earning $18 per hour and helpers earning $15 per hour, reflecting the valued skill and equipment brought to the role. Valet Living offers steady pay with opportunities for fast payment via DailyPay, making it an ideal secondary source of income or supplemental earnings. Importantly, you will use a mobile app to check in, track your work progress, and capture photos as needed, leveraging technology to enhance efficiency and accountability.
Physical activity is a significant component of the job, allowing you to stay active while working through your shift. Valet Living supports safety by providing gloves, safety vests, and other necessary equipment to ensure a secure working environment. The company fosters career growth, highlighting that half of their Area Leader hires are promoted internally, and offers referral bonuses as incentives for bringing new team members on board. Overall, this role offers a blend of flexibility, steady income, and local work that appeals to individuals seeking part-time evening employment with supportive management and fast hiring processes.
