Job Description
Valet Living is a leading service provider dedicated to enhancing the living experiences within apartment communities by offering reliable and convenient doorstep trash collection services. As a company, Valet Living prioritizes community cleanliness, safety, and comfort, ensuring residents enjoy well-maintained living spaces. The company operates primarily within residential settings, focusing on providing high-quality, consistent service in local neighborhoods. Recognized for its commitment to customer satisfaction and employee well-being, Valet Living offers a supportive work environment where part-time team members can find steady, reliable income and flexible scheduling.
The current opportunity is for part-time Doorstep Trash Collection Specialists, also referred to as Service Valets. This role centers on helping maintain the cleanliness of apartment communities by collecting bagged trash and cardboard recycling directly from residents’ doorsteps and transferring these waste materials to onsite disposal areas. This position is ideal for individuals seeking additional income through part-time work that offers steady daytime hours, minimal travel, and the ability to work close to home. The role does not involve handling bulk items, long-distance driving, or off-site dumping, making it a manageable and straightforward job.
Successful candidates will utilize their own personal open-bed pickup truck or vehicle with a trailer to perform daily collections. During each shift, they will serve one or more nearby apartment communities within the same local area, minimizing travel time and enhancing operational efficiency. The job entails active physical engagement such as walking the property, climbing stairs, and working outdoors, which is great for those who enjoy staying active while earning. The company supports employees with technology by providing a mobile app to log work activities, check in during service, and submit photos when necessary, streamlining communication and task management.
The pay structure includes a competitive rate of $16.50 per hour for truck drivers and $13.50 per hour for helpers, making it a good source of supplemental income or a second job. Part-time schedules typically range from 10 to 15 hours per week, primarily Sunday through Thursday with shifts starting after 8:00 AM, and importantly, no weekend work is required. Employees benefit from consistent work opportunities, fast payment through the DailyPay system, and assignments close to their home location.
Physical requirements include the ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds, walk long distances, climb multiple flights of stairs, and work in various weather conditions while handling bagged trash and waste safely. Safety is a key priority, with gloves, safety vests, and necessary equipment provided to ensure protection while on the job.
Valet Living values diversity and inclusiveness and is an Equal Opportunity Employer that ensures fair recruitment, training, compensation, and promotion practices without discrimination based on race, religion, creed, color, national origin, age, gender, sexual orientation, gender identity, marital status, disability, veteran status, or any other legally protected category.
This position is well-suited for active individuals looking for flexibility to fit around other commitments like a full-time job, school, or family, with clear pathways for career growth as roughly half of the company's Area Leader roles are filled through internal promotions. Additionally, employees can earn referral bonuses, encouraging a team-centered culture. If you are searching for a dependable, part-time job with quick pay, local assignments, and a supportive work environment, Valet Living invites you to apply today and join their dedicated team.
